I graduated from DeQueen High School in DeQueen, Arkansas in 1984.
I started college in 1986 at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas and graduated in 1989 earning a bachelor degree in Elementary Education with an English specialty.
I received my Masters of Education from Texas A&M University-Texarkana in 2004.
I began my teaching career at James Bowie/Simms ISD in the 1989-1990 school year in a compensatory reading classroom serving students K-6. I taught 2nd grade for many years before moving to the middle/high school campus where I taught English, speech, drama, reading, and gifted and talented. I have been in administration for 11 years.
I am starting my 29th year with the district.
I have been married 28 years to Charles Hudgeons. We have 2 sons and one daughter-in-love.
Maison Allen Hudgeons graduated from James Bowie in 2009 and Southern Arkansas University in 2013. He is currently a coach and the technology director for Gurdon High School in Gurdon, Arkansas.
Reace Wayne Hudgeons graduated from James Bowie in 2011 and the University of Arkansas in 2016. He is a second lieutenant and TACP in the United States AirForce stationed in Oahu, Hawaii. He is married to Chelsea Hoffman Hudgeons.
