1st Grade

Packets for students that are completing the paper copy will be able on May 4th, from 7:30-6:00 at the administration building. 

Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies

All assignments  (both packets and IXL) MUST be completed and will be graded!

Most of these assignments were assigned througout the school year. Students that have already completed these assignments, DO NOT NEED TO REDO THE ASSIGNMENTS. However, some students were absent or failed to complete the assignments. These students need to finish the assignments. 

Assignments for May 4th – 8th  

*Reading: Rhyming – C1, C2, C3, C4

*Language Arts: Multiple Meaning Words – Z1

 

Assignments for May 11th – 15th  

*Reading: Short and long vowels – M6, M7

*Language Arts: Complete questions about 1st grade – I will post a picture of these questions on Dojo. Students need to complete these questions and send me a picture on Dojo. 

 

**Extra & Optional practice

*Students may work on any assignments in IXL (Language Arts Tab) that are highlighted in yellow. These are concepts we have previously learned and worked on. 

*Sight Words (IXL) S1, S2, S3 would also be great practice!

MATH & SCIENCE

May 4-8, 2020

Hard Copy Instruction ONLY: 

Math: GoMath Volume 1 – Count Collections of Coins p. 327-330 (p. 331-332 independently)

Science: Popcorn & Your 5 Senses Experiement (Adult Supervision required!)

  • You will need: a bag of microwavable popcorn, a microwave, pencil, & Popcorn Sensory Observations recording sheet
  • As your popcorn is popping, use your 5 senses and record what you smell, hear, and see. Once your popcorn is done, use your sense of touch and taste to describe your tasty treat.

Science: Types of Clouds

  • Watch this short video about the types of clouds.
  • Send me a message on Class Dojo (can be a video, a picture your drew, or a model that you created) describing your Favorite Cloud. 

 

*These assignments will need to be completed in their entirety by May 15 and returned to school on May 18. 

*Assignments Highlighted in GOLD will be taken for a grade. Hard copy assignments will need to be turned in at the next packet pickup time. Online assignments will be monitored by the teacher. 

*Students that requested hard copy instruction can also complete the IXL assignments if they would like to do so for extra practice.
